  1. This is a little test, that will show how fast your computer runs when
  2. using the Workbench, compared to a standard A500.
  3. This is a little program that creates 100 drawers in the ram disk.
  4. All drawers has an icon, and all drawers contains 3 icons. This is one
  5. of the the tests that DatorMagazin uses when testing accellerators.
  6.  
  7. I spread this because I think there are many people that are too lazy
  8. to create all drawers themselves, and so that the test will be exactly
  9. the same (i.e. drawer names, icon sizes...).
  10.  
  11. I have only tested this on OS2.04, but I think it will work on 1.3 too.

  13. Requirements:
  14.  
  15. You must have Copy, Makedir and Run in your searchpath.
  16.  
  17.  
  18. Usage:
  19.  
  20. 1.  Copy the whole drawer to ram: (you don't have to, but that will save
  21.     a lot of time, espescially if you use floppy).
  22.  
  23. 2.  Choose 'Show/All files' from the menu.
  24.  
  25. 3.  Run the file 'OpenDrawerTest'. This will take a couple of minutes.
  26.  
  27. 4.  Close all windows, except RAM.
  28.  
  29. 5.  Open the drawer ODT.
  30.  
  31. 6.  Choose 'Select contents' from the menu.
  32.  
  33. 7.  Get ready with the clock.
  34.  
  35. 8.  Choose 'Open' from the menu.
  36.  
  37. 9.  Start the clock.
  38.  
  39. 10. Wait...
  40.  
  41. 11. Once the last window is opened, stop the clock.

  43. 12. See how long it took.

  45. 13. Enter the time into this file (or just compare it with the ones in
  46.     this file).
